Genre -
When filmmakers and movie critics refer to a film genre, they generally mean a specific style or subject matter. While a movie may have elements of a number of different genres, it is often classified under a single film genre for reference purposes. For example a ‘Thriller’ is a horror the age rating for this genre would be a 18 The thriller genre – definition Thriller is a genre of fiction in which tough, resourceful, but essentially ordinary heroes are pitted against villains determined to destroy them, their country, or the stability of the free world. Part of the allure of thrillers comes from not only what their stories are about, but also how they are told.
Examples of thriller films – state why/brief description of narrative Thriller is a broad genre of literature, film, and television programming that uses suspense, tension and excitement as the main elements. Thrillers heavily stimulate the viewer's moods giving them a high level of  anticipation, ultra-heightened expectation, uncertainty, surprise, anxiety and or Terror.
Sub-genres of thrillers - examples Crime Thriller film is a sub-genre that incorporates the suspenseful aspects of a thriller with a crime film plot. This sub-genre's plot usually centres on a serial killer, murderer, robbery, or manhunt. As opposed to traditional crime films, the story-line focuses both around the criminal and the protagonist. Crime Thrillers use both action and psychological aspects to build tension and suspense.
Common themes – examples (Generic Convention) What the audience expect to see in that film genre. In a thriller film the generic conventions we expect to see, in regards to aspects such as sound may be eerie music, creaking doors and bad weather conditions. It is generally based around the expectations of that genre, what we would typically see within it.

    The whole post just needs more detail and analysis
